The 10-inch 5-micron filament filter is a high-performance product designed for pre-filtration, one of the most critical stages of water treatment systems. How Does It Work?
These filters are manufactured by tightly wrapping 100% pure polypropylene fibers around a core. This "depth filtration" principle allows the filter to capture increasingly finer particles, working from the outer layers inward. This increases the filter's dirt-holding capacity and extends its lifespan. As water flows from the outside of the filter into the filter, the spaces between the fiber layers trap all solids 5 microns or larger.
