Bimetallic Steam Trap Working Principle
Bimetallic steam traps work thanks to special elements consisting of the combination of two metals with different expansion coefficients. When encountered with steam, the bimetal element expands and closes the condensate outlet; When condensed steam (condensate) arrives, the element contracts and allows condensate to be discharged.
