ARI-ZESA® 22.012 Reducer Wafer Type Butterfly Valve DN150: Reliable Control in Medium-Large Lines
The ARI-ZESA® 22.012 Wafer-Type Butterfly Valve , manufactured by the German company ARI-Armaturen, is a high-performance, center-disc butterfly valve used for fluid control in industrial and building systems. This model, with a nominal diameter of DN150 (6 in.) and a pressure rating of PN16 (16 bar) , is used in medium- to large-sized lines.
This valve is equipped with a reducer (worm gear) control system . For large diameters such as DN150, the use of a reducer allows the valve to be opened and closed easily and precisely, making it suitable for both shut-off and light flow regulation.
Butterfly Valve Definition and Structural Features:
Figure 22.012: This figure number indicates that the valve is a PN16 pressure class, ductile iron body, wafer type butterfly valve.
Wafer Type Design: The valve is sandwiched between two flanges in the pipeline. This provides a compact and space-saving installation.
Body Material: Made of EN-JS1030 Ductile Iron. Ductile iron provides high resistance to impacts and pressure.
Disc and Shaft: The disc (disc) is typically made of 1.4581 or 1.4571 Stainless Steel. The shaft is stainless steel.
Sealing (Seat): It operates on the soft sealing principle. The seal (seat material) can be selected from elastomers such as EPDM , NBR , or FPM . The maximum operating temperature for the EPDM seal is 130°C and is approved for drinking water.
Leakage Test: Tested in accordance with DIN EN 12266-1 Leakage Rate A (zero leakage).
Butterfly Valve Features and Advantages
Reducer Control: Provides easy and precise manual control even in DN150 diameter.
Maintenance-Free Structure: It has a long-lasting and maintenance-free structure.
High Corrosion Resistance: Resistant to harsh conditions with stainless steel disc and ductile iron body.
Fluid Friendly: Provides suitable flow characteristics and supports energy efficiency thanks to its excellent zeta-values.
Automation Compatibility: The geared model can optionally be controlled with pneumatic or electric actuators.
