Butterfly Valve Working Principle
The closing element in butterfly valves is a disc rotating around a shaft located on a vertical axis within the body. By rotating the disc around its own axis, the passage of the fluid is enabled or prevented. Sealing occurs between the metal flap and the elastic/plastic gasket covering the body. Thus, the valve provides effective control with minimum pressure loss in fully open or fully closed positions. The reducer type valve provides more precise and easier use, especially for large diameters.
