Stainless Steel Ball Valve Working Principle
The operating principle of stainless steel ball valves is achieved through the use of a perforated, rotating ball. By rotating the valve handle 90 degrees, the ball completely opens or closes the flow direction. When the valve is in the open position, the perforated part of the ball aligns with the pipeline, allowing fluid to flow freely. When the valve is in the closed position, the solid surface of the ball aligns with the pipeline, stopping the flow.
Structural Components and Their Functions
Ball: Made of stainless steel, the ball controls flow with its perforated structure. When the perforated portion of the ball aligns with the flow direction, it allows fluid to pass. When the ball rotates 90 degrees with the movement of the valve handle, the non-perforated portion closes the flow path.
