Horizontal Check Valve Working Principle
ECA Brass Horizontal Check Valve 1 1/4'' PN25 is a fixture designed to provide one-way flow control. The disc or valve mechanism inside the check valve opens or closes automatically depending on the flow direction.
When the liquid or gas in the system applies pressure in the correct direction (in the desired flow direction) towards the valve, the check valve cover moves upward and allows flow. In this way, the fluid can pass freely without encountering any obstacles.
When the flow stops or the fluid applies back pressure, the check valve cover or disc mechanism automatically closes with the effect of spring force and reverse pressure. This prevents backflow and protects pumps, tanks or other equipment in the system.
This automatic shut-off feature reduces the risk of backlash in the installation and increases the efficiency and safety of the system. Additionally, thanks to its mechanical design, there is no need for an external energy source or manual intervention.
