Pressure Switch Working Principle
The operating principle of a pressure switch is to prevent damage to devices due to excessive or low pressure by ensuring that pressure remains within specified ranges. The operating mechanism consists of the following steps:
Pressure Sensor and Diaphragm: One of the key elements of a pressure switch is the pressure sensor. This sensor continuously monitors the pressure in the system. If the pressure rises above a predetermined threshold, the switch interrupts the electrical circuit and shuts down the device. Similarly, when the pressure drops, the switch reopens the circuit, allowing the device to operate.
Pressure Adjustment: Pressure switches can be easily adjusted to the desired pressure using a pressure adjustment screw. Turning this screw clockwise increases pressure, while turning it counterclockwise decreases pressure.
