Element Liquid Level Electrode
Element Liquid Level Electrode: Industrial Liquid Level Control Solutions
The Element brand offers reliable sensor and equipment solutions for industrial automation and control systems. The Element Liquid Level Electrode is a simple yet critical sensor designed to detect level and provide automatic control in steam boilers, water tanks, condensate tanks, and other conductive liquid containers.
What is a Liquid Level Electrode and How Does It Work?
A liquid level electrode is a sensor that uses the principle of electrical conductivity to detect liquid level. It typically consists of one or more insulated rod-shaped metal sensors.
Liquid Level Electrode Working Principle:
Circuit Completion: The electrode forms a circuit with the metal body of the boiler or tank (soil). When a conductive liquid (e.g., water) touches the tip of the electrode, the electrical circuit is completed and a signal is sent to the control unit.
Signal Generation: This signal is processed by an external control relay or panel to which it is connected. The control unit performs actions based on the signal, such as starting a pump, opening a valve, or issuing a high/low level alarm.
Multi-Point Control: By using electrodes of different lengths, multiple level points in a tank, including minimum, maximum and intermediate, can be controlled.
Features and Advantages of Elemental Liquid Level Electrode:
Durable Material: Electrode rods are typically made of Stainless Steel (AISI 304/316). This provides corrosion resistance against water, humidity and high temperatures.
Insulation: The body of the electrode is coated with insulating materials such as PTFE (Teflon) or ceramic to provide electrical insulation and chemical resistance.
High Pressure and Temperature Resistance: Resistant to high pressure and temperature for use in harsh environments such as boilers and pressure vessels.
Reliability: Since it has no moving parts, it is resistant to mechanical failures and has a long service life.
Easy Installation: It can be easily installed into the installation with a threaded or flanged connection.
Liquid Level Electrode Usage Areas:
Steam Boilers and Boilers: Control of boiler feed water level (low level safety, pump control).
Condensate Tanks: Control of return water level.
Water Treatment Plants: Chemical dosing and liquid level control tanks.
General Industrial Installations: Automatic level control of conductive liquids.
