Working Principle

Thermostatic Steam traps are sensitive to the temperature of the condensed water thanks to the bimetallic element or expansion thermostat inside. The temperature of the condensate accumulated in the steam line is measured as it passes through the steam trap; If the temperature has dropped to the dew point, the thermostatic element is opened and the condensate is discharged.
