Lug Type Electric Actuated Butterfly Valve
ORFA Industrial Products Industry and Trade Inc. , as a company that sells various industrial products, offers high quality Lug Type Electric Actuator Butterfly Valve products to its customers.
The Lug-Type Electric Actuated Butterfly Valve is a frequently preferred valve type in modern industrial processes. These valves operate with a mechanism that opens or closes a full pipe section by rotating the disc around its axis. Butterfly valves provide high sealing performance with elastic or plastic sealing elements within the body. The butterfly valve sealing element also serves as a gasket on the flange between the valve and the pipe.

Butterfly Valve Technical Information
Butterfly Valve Technical Information
Electric actuated butterfly valves offer faster and more precise control than manual valves. Their remote control capability increases operational efficiency and minimizes human intervention. These features are among the reasons why electric actuated valves are preferred.
Body Material: High strength ductile iron provides durability in harsh operating conditions.
Valve Material: Aluminum bronze offers high corrosion resistance.
Shaft Material: Stainless steel provides long-lasting and reliable performance.
Seal Material: NBR provides sealing over a wide temperature range.
Lug Type Electric Actuated Butterfly Valve Working Principle
Disc and Shaft Mechanism: A disc located within the valve body rotates around a shaft positioned on a vertical axis. This disc can rotate 90 degrees to open or close a full section of pipe. The disc controls the flow of fluid.
Electric Actuator: An electric actuator is the driving force behind the mechanism that rotates the disc. Electric actuators convert electrical energy into mechanical energy, opening and closing the valve. The actuator can be remotely controlled and integrated into automatic control systems.
Sealing Elements: Elastic or plastic sealing elements located between the disc and body provide high sealing. These elements prevent fluid leakage outside the valve and act as a gasket on the flange between the valve and the pipe.
Lug-Type Connections: Lug-type connections allow the valve to be easily installed in the piping system. Lug-type butterfly valves connect safely and securely to the pipeline thanks to the connection holes on both sides.
Butterfly Valve Working Stages
Opening: When the electric actuator receives the command to open, it rotates the disc, opening the valve. The disc rotates 90 degrees to allow fluid to flow freely. In this position, the valve is fully open, allowing fluid flow with minimal pressure loss.
Closing: When the closing command is given, the electric actuator rotates the disc in the opposite direction, closing the valve. The disc rotates to completely seal the pipe section, stopping the flow of fluid. In this position, the valve is fully closed, ensuring a high level of sealing.
Partial Opening/Closing: Electric actuators can also hold the valve in either the partially open or partially closed positions. This allows precise control of flow. For example, the valve can be held partially open when adjustments are needed to adjust flow rate or pressure.
Advantages of Electric Actuators
Remote Control: Electric actuators can be remotely controlled and integrated into automated control systems. This allows operators to control the valve without manually opening and closing it.
Precise Control: Electric actuators allow precise opening and closing of the valve, resulting in more accurate and reliable flow control.
Fast Response: Electric actuators provide rapid valve opening and closing with their fast response times. This is a significant advantage in emergency situations or rapid flow changes.
Low Maintenance Requirement: Electric actuators minimize wear of mechanical parts and have a long life with low maintenance requirements.
Butterfly Valve Usage Areas
Lug Type Electric Actuated Butterfly Valves are used in a variety of industrial and commercial applications:
Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems: Provides precise flow control and energy efficiency.
Water Purification and Distribution Systems: Manages water flow effectively with its reliable and durable structure.
Mining Industry: Resistant to abrasive and challenging working conditions.
Shipbuilding and Drilling Facilities: Suitable for seawater and other corrosive liquids.
Food and Chemical Businesses: Provides hygienic and safe flow control.
Oil and Gas Processes: Resistant to high pressure and temperature conditions.
Fire Extinguishing Systems: Provides fast and reliable flow control.
