Disco Check Valve Working Principle
VALFTEK Brass Disco Check Valve is a type of anti-backflow valve designed to allow fluid to pass in one direction only. The flow pressure in the system pushes the disc inside the valve (disk plate) forward, allowing it to open and allowing the fluid to pass.
When the flow stops or a back pressure occurs, the disc sits back in place thanks to the spring or weighted mechanism and completely prevents the back flow of the line. In this way, pumps, boilers, tanks or other equipment in the pipeline are protected against damage caused by backflow.
VALFTEK disco check valve model has a metal-to-metal sealing feature. Thanks to this structure, the metal surface directly contacts the surface on which the disc sits, not a flexible gasket. This ensures excellent sealing even under high temperature and pressure, ensuring long-lasting and maintenance-free use.
The reason why it is preferred especially in applications such as superheated water, hot water, general water and compressed air is that it provides reliable flow control thanks to its compact design and fast-reacting disc mechanism.
