Viking ESFR Upright VK520 Sprinkler 74°C 3/4”
VIKING ESFR Upright VK520 Sprinkler 74°C: Early Suppression Fire Solution in High-Rack Storage
VIKING is one of the world's leading, trusted brands in fire suppression systems. The VIKING ESFR (Early Suppression Fast Response) Upright VK520 Sprinkler is a high-tech product designed specifically for high-risk storage and industrial areas. It not only brings fires under control but also suppresses them rapidly .
What is ESFR and How Does It Work?
ESFR differs from standard sprinklers. Standard sprinklers aim to contain a fire and slow its spread, while ESFR's aim is to directly suppress a fire at a very early stage by releasing water rapidly and at a high flow rate.
Very High K-Factor: The K-factor is very high (usually K14, K17, K22, etc.). A high K-factor means it provides significantly more water flow (liters/minute) than a standard sprinkler at the same pressure.
Fast Response: It responds to heat very quickly and is activated at an early stage.
Upright Installation: Indicates the installation position of the sprinkler; the sprinkler tip points up while the pipeline points down.
Features and Benefits of VIKING ESFR VK520:
Operating Temperature (74°C): It is the temperature value at which it detects the risk of fire and activates.
Connection Diameter (3/4''): Compatible with standard sprinkler connections.
High Risk Protection: Provides superior protection compared to traditional systems in high-bay warehouses and areas where cartoned or non-cartoned products are stored.
Eliminates the Need for In-Rack Sprinklers: The biggest economic advantage is that it eliminates the need to install sprinkler systems inside racks, significantly reducing installation costs and maintenance difficulties.
UL/FM Approvals: ESFR has UL (Underwriters Laboratories) and FM (Factory Mutual) approvals that document the highest quality and performance standards required for sprinklers.
Reducing Water Damage: Because it quickly suppresses the fire, it shortens the duration of the fire and minimizes property loss and water damage by reducing the total amount of water used.
Areas of Use:
High Bay Warehouses: High density storage areas.
Logistics Centers: Distribution centers with large storage volumes.
Industrial Facilities: Production and storage areas.
Paper, Plastic and Rubber Product Warehouses: Places where materials with high flammability risk are stored.
