Weldolet 1'': High-Strength Branch Solution for Pipelines

In industrial installations, when a smaller diameter branch (outlet) is required from the main pipeline, maintaining the pipeline's integrity and mechanical strength is crucial. Weldolet is a welded, reinforced fitting used to create such branch connections in pipelines. With a 1-inch (DN25) size, it allows smaller diameter pipes to be safely connected to the main.

What is Weldolet and What Does It Do?

Weldolet is a special type of fitting that is welded to the main pipeline, creating a branch outlet at a 90-degree angle. Unlike traditional welded tee connections, it eliminates the need to drill a large hole in the main pipe. Weldolet features a specially curved structure that fits onto the pipe surface and welds to this surface, creating a very strong and leak-proof connection.

Main Functions:

  • Pipe Branch: Provides a smaller diameter (in this case 1") outlet from the main pipeline (e.g. 4", 6", 8").

  • Strength and Safety: Strengthens the connection point by preserving the mechanical integrity of the main pipe, especially in high pressure and high temperature systems.

  • Leak-proof: Thanks to the permanent welded connection, the risk of leakage is minimized.

Features and Advantages of Weldolet:

  • High Pressure Resistance: It is more resistant to high pressure fluctuations because it contains fewer weld seams and fewer stress points compared to welded tees.

  • Easy Installation: Simply drill a small hole in the main pipe. Weldolet's perfect fit makes welding easier.

  • Cost and Space Savings: Takes up less space than standard tees and creates less stress on the pipeline.

  • Material Variety: Generally manufactured from carbon steel (ASTM A105) or stainless steel (AISI 304, AISI 316) . Material selection is based on the type of fluid and environmental conditions.

  • Wide Application Area: Used in many areas from the oil and gas industry to power plants.

  • Standardization: They are produced in accordance with international standards such as ASME B16.11.

Weldolet Usage Areas:

  • Power Plants: High pressure steam and water lines.

  • Oil and Gas Industry: Refineries, natural gas facilities, pipelines.

  • Chemical and Petrochemical Plants: Lines where chemical fluids are transported.

  • Industrial Installations: All types of piping systems requiring high strength and sealing.
