The VK-71 Vacuum Breaker functions like a check valve to prevent vacuum buildup in steam installations. When a vacuum occurs, it draws in air, preventing this, ensuring proper system operation. VK-71 Working Principle
Vacuum Formation:
In steam systems, condensation occurs when the steam is no longer used or the system cools. The condensed steam turns into a liquid, and its volume decreases during this transformation. This volume decrease creates negative pressure (vacuum) within the system.
Activation:
The VK-71 detects the formation of a vacuum and begins operating like a check valve. When a vacuum begins to form, the valve inside the device opens, allowing air in from outside. This air intake balances the negative pressure within the system, preventing a vacuum.
Steam Re-introduction:
When steam is reintroduced into the system and pressure begins to increase, the vacuum breaker automatically closes. This returns the pressure in the system to normal levels and the device becomes inactive again.
Uninterrupted Operation:
