Threaded swing check valves operate based on the principle of a disc moving freely on a pin inside the body, opening with fluid pressure. When the flow stops, the disc closes by its own weight (with the help of gravity) to prevent backflow. Unlike spring check valves, the pressure drop is very low because it opens the flow path completely. **Brass swing check valves** are widely used in domestic plumbing and pump outlets, while **stainless steel swing check valves** are preferred in chemical process lines requiring corrosion resistance. These valves are generally suitable for horizontal installation and can be cleaned without removing them from the line thanks to the maintenance cover.
