Bimetallic Steam Trap Working Principle
Bimetallic steam traps work thanks to special elements consisting of a combination of two metals with different expansion coefficients. When encountered with steam, the bimetal element expands and closes the condensate outlet; When condensed steam (condensate) arrives, the element contracts and allows condensate to be discharged. In this way, steam losses are prevented and the energy efficiency of the system is maintained. ARI CONA® B 45.601-1 model also has a built-in check valve function and an external strainer, ensuring a safe and uninterrupted flow in the installation.
