ARI Strainer Working Principle
Filtration Mechanism:
Inlet: The fluid enters the ARI Strainer through the pipeline at its inlet point. This inlet point typically experiences high velocity and pressure.
Direction: When fluid enters the strainer body, the fluid changes direction, reducing its velocity. This change in direction facilitates the separation of large particles within the fluid.
Filtration: The fluid passes through a filter element made of 1.4301 (AISI 304) stainless steel. This filter element has a specific pore size, allowing particles of a certain size to pass through while retaining larger impurities. Filter pore size may vary depending on application requirements. The recommended pore size for steam applications is 0.25 mm.
Particle Retention: Foreign matter trapped in the filter element helps clean the fluid. These particles accumulate on the surface of the filter over time, forming a filter residue.
Clean Flow: After filtration, the cleaned fluid passes through the strainer outlet and continues to flow through the pipeline. This protects other equipment in the system from foreign matter and ensures trouble-free operation.
