A Motorized Level Switch is a device used to continuously monitor and control the level of solid materials in storage tanks, silos, and hoppers. At the tip of the probe is a pallet selected according to the material. The probe rotates continuously with the motor's speed, and when the material to be detected reaches and surrounds the pallet, it creates a counter-force against the rotating pallet. This force activates the level alarm contact, stopping the motor. When the material level drops, the motor restarts rotation and the alarm setting changes.
