The Ayvaz KV-1 Pneumatic Actuated Butterfly Valve is a wafer-type butterfly valve solution designed to quickly, safely, and automatically control the flow of fluids (water, gas, steam, air, etc.) in industrial installations. It combines the lightweight and compact design of a butterfly valve with the rapid on/off capability of a pneumatic actuator.
What is the KV-1 Butterfly Valve and Pneumatic Actuator?
In butterfly valves, the closing element is a disc (clapper) that rotates around a vertical shaft. The disc rotates 90 degrees to open or close a full pipe section.
Wafer Type: The valve is installed by sandwiching it between two flanges in the pipeline like a "sandwich." This design makes the valve lightweight and easy to install.
Pneumatic Actuator: A pneumatic (pressurized air) actuator, connected to the valve stem, automates the movement of the disc. These actuators can be single-acting (spring-return) or double-acting (uses air for opening and closing). The double-acting actuator provides high safety and precision.
Features and Advantages of Ayvaz KV-1 Butterfly Valve
Material Structure: The body is made of Cast Iron (GG-25 Cast Iron) , and the valve (disc) is generally made of AISI 316 Stainless Steel . This ensures corrosion resistance and long life.
Sealing: PTFE seal
Resistance: Maximum operating temperature can range from 80 °C to 110 °C depending on the model. Operating pressure is in accordance with the PN10/PN16 pressure class.
Actuator Features: Actuator body is made of aluminum injection, working pressure is 10 bar, working temperature is between -20°C and +80°C. It has ISO 5211 connection standard.
Wide Application Area: Used in many areas such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) systems, water treatment, fire extinguishing systems, chemical, food and gas applications.
Installation Flexibility: The valve stem can be positioned horizontally or vertically. However, horizontal installation is recommended for diameters over DN300.
