Ayvaz KV-3 Butterfly Valve with Pneumatic Actuator: Compact Solution for Automatic Flow Control
The Ayvaz KV-3 Pneumatic Actuated Butterfly Valve is a wafer-type valve designed to quickly, safely, and automatically control the flow of fluids (water, gas, wastewater, air, etc.) in industrial installations. This valve combines the lightweight and compact design of a butterfly valve with the rapid opening/closing capabilities of a pneumatic actuator.
What is a Butterfly Valve and How Does It Work?
In butterfly valves, the closing element is a disc (clapper) that rotates around a vertical shaft. When installed, the disc rotates 90 degrees to open or close the entire pipe section. Sealing is achieved between the metal disc and the elastic gasket lining the inside of the body.
Wafer Type: The valve is mounted by compressing it like a sandwich between two pipe flanges.
Pneumatic Actuator: A pneumatic (air-powered) actuator connected to the valve stem automates disc movement and provides quick response time. These actuators can be double-acting (uses air for opening and closing) or single-acting (spring-return).
Features and Advantages of Ayvaz KV-3
Compact and Lightweight Design: It has the advantages of having low pressure losses, easy opening and closing, good sealing, being lightweight and taking up little space.
Durable Material: The body is made of GG25 Cast Iron and the valve (disc) is made of AISI316 Stainless Steel .
Wide Application Area: Used in the control of water, seawater, gas and wastewater in many areas such as heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, water treatment, fire extinguishing systems, mining and chemical enterprises.
Maximum Temperature: Maximum operating temperature is 130 ºC .
Installation Flexibility: The valve stem can be in either horizontal or vertical position; however, horizontal installation is recommended for diameters of DN300 and above.
