Ayvaz Lug Type Butterfly Valve with Reducer KV-18
The Lug-Type Butterfly Valve with Reducer, sold by ORFA Industrial Products Industry and Trade Inc. , is a high-performance valve designed to meet the needs of modern industrial facilities. Butterfly valves are characterized by a disc rotating around a vertical shaft, which serves as the closing element. This disc, when installed, rotates around its axis to open or close the entire pipe section. Sealing is achieved between the metal flap and the elastic or plastic sealing elements lining the body. The sealing element also serves as a gasket on the flange between the valve and the pipe.
Butterfly Valve Advantages
Low Pressure Loss: Thanks to the disc structure, pressure losses are minimized during fluid flow.
Easy to Use: Thanks to the reducer mechanism, the valve can be opened and closed easily.
High Sealing: High sealing performance thanks to elastic sealing elements.
Lightweight and Compact: Its lightweight structure and small footprint provide ease of installation and use.
Durable Structure: Long-lasting use with GGG-40.3 ductile iron body and AISI 420 stainless steel shaft.

Working Principle of Reducer Butterfly Valve
1. Shaft and Disc Movement: The operating principle of the Lug-Type Butterfly Valve with Reducer is based on the disc rotating around a shaft. The shaft rotates due to a torque from outside the valve, which is transmitted to the disc via the reducer. The disc opens or closes by rotating 90 degrees around the shaft.
2. Open Position: When the valve is in the open position, the disc is parallel to the pipeline axis to allow fluid to pass. In this position, fluid flows with minimal resistance and pressure loss is very low.
3. Closed Position: When the valve is closed, the disc sits perpendicular to the pipeline axis to prevent fluid flow. The disc makes close contact with the gasket, creating a tight seal and completely stopping fluid flow.
4. The Role of the Reducer: The reducer facilitates the opening and closing of the valve. By turning the reducer handle, the user can open or close the valve with less force. The reducer offers a significant advantage, especially in large-diameter valves and high-pressure systems.
5. Sealing: When the disc is in the closed position, contact between the gasket and the disc ensures sealing. The gasket material, NBR, offers excellent sealing performance thanks to its elastic structure and prevents fluid leakage.
