Working Principle:
Pressure Adjustment and Detection:
The relief valve is equipped with a pilot control mechanism. This control system consists of a pilot valve connected to the main body and a pressure adjustment mechanism. The valve continuously monitors the system pressure and makes adjustments based on the set outlet pressure. For example, if the valve is set for an outlet pressure of 165 psi and the system pressure exceeds this value, the pilot valve will activate.
Relieving Excess Pressure:
When the pilot valve detects that the system pressure has risen above the set output value, it triggers the main valve to open. This opens the main valve, safely diverting the excess pressure to the water tank or an external drain. This process continues until the pressure returns to normal.
Closing:
When the pressure drops to the set safe level, the pilot valve closes and the main valve automatically closes, re-stabilizing the system pressure. This process ensures that the pressure balance within the system is maintained and reduces the load on the equipment.
