Test and Drain Valve Working Principle
The test and drain valve has the same orifice diameter as the K factor of the smallest orifice sprinkler in the sprinkler line. In this way, real system conditions are simulated exactly when performance testing of sprinkler circuits is carried out. Observing the flow through the sight glass provides confirmation of correct operation during maintenance. Both the testing of the system and the emptying of the line are carried out practically with a single valve.
