Technical Information
The VK-70 works like a check valve to prevent vacuum buildup in steam installations. When a vacuum develops, it admits air, preventing this and ensuring proper system operation. VK-70 Working Principle
Vacuum Formation:
In steam systems, condensation occurs when the steam is no longer used or the system cools. The condensed steam turns into a liquid, and its volume decreases during this transformation. This volume decrease creates negative pressure (vacuum) within the system.
Vacuum Breaker Activation:
The VK-70 Vacuum Breaker detects this vacuum and begins operating like a check valve. When a vacuum begins to form, the valve inside the device opens, allowing air in from outside. This air intake balances the negative pressure within the system, preventing a vacuum.
Steam Re-introduction:
