 Working Principle of Solenoid Valves
Solenoid valves operate by converting electrical energy into mechanical motion through a magnetic force. Valves have two basic operating states: open and closed. When an electric current is applied to the coil, the coil generates a magnetic field, moving the core inside the valve. This movement opens or closes the valve, thereby controlling the flow of fluid. Available in normally closed (NC) and normally open (NO), solenoid valves offer solutions tailored to the needs of various industrial applications.
 Pilot Operated and Direct Pull Options
 Solenoid valves are available in two basic operating principles: pilot-operated and direct-acting. Pilot-operated valves use line pressure and a control chamber to open and close the fluid. In these valves, fluid in the line fills the upper chamber of the diaphragm, closing the main orifice using line pressure and spring force. When the coil is energized, the core is pulled upwards, opening the control orifice and relieving pressure on the diaphragm, allowing free fluid flow. In direct-acting valves, when the coil is energized, the core directly opens or closes the orifice. These valves are ideal for applications where pressure is very low or where fast response time is important.
