Solenoid Pump – Highly Efficient Liquid Transfer with Electromagnetic Power

The Solenoid Pump, offered by ORFA Industrial Products Industry and Trade Inc. , enables fast and efficient fluid transfer thanks to its electromagnetic solenoid mechanism. The magnetic field created by passing electric current through a coil activates a piston or diaphragm. This mechanical movement pumps the fluid, providing continuous flow for industrial applications. Solenoid pumps are an excellent solution for applications requiring high flow rates and operating at low pressure. These pumps, notable for their compact design and easy connection options, also offer great ease of installation and operation.

Featured Features:

Self-Priming: Even at 0 bar pressure, the pump automatically fills itself with liquid.
Integrated Diode: Except for 24V, all models are equipped with an integrated diode, thus ensuring electrical safety.
Thermal Cut-Off Pocket: Provides protection in overheating situations and provides long-lasting use.
Dry Running Permit: Extends the life of the device by allowing dry running only during the self-priming phase.
Suction Power: It has the capacity to quickly absorb liquids with a suction power of 100 mbar.
Compliance with IEC Glow Wire Test: Meets safety standards with GWIT test at 750°C according to IEC 60335-1.

Technical Specifications:

Pipe Guide Material: PA66/PPS, high quality materials known for their long-term durability and chemical resistance.
Gasket Material: EPDM, PTFE
Liquid Temperature: Maximum 35°C
Ambient Temperature: Maximum 70°C
Working Fluid: Designed to work with water.
Electrical Connection: Practical installation with 6.3 x 0.8 quick connection terminal.
Insulation Class: Provides safety and efficiency in F/A class.
Hydraulic Connections: Easy installation with inlet hose outlet, outlet is G1/8" female thread.
Voltage: It operates with 230V - 50 Hz energy.
Coil Power: Provides high-performance electromagnet power with 47W power consumption.

Solenoid Pump Working Principle

A solenoid pump uses an electromagnetic mechanism to move fluids. The basic operating principle of this pump is that a magnetic field is generated by an electric current, which then drives a piston or diaphragm to pump the fluid in one direction. This process is particularly suitable for applications requiring high flow at low pressure. Solenoid pumps have two main components: the solenoid and the mechanical actuator.

Electromagnetic Motion: A solenoid pump has a coil at its center. When supplied with an electric current, this coil creates a magnetic field around it. At the center of the coil is a piston (or core), usually made of iron or another magnetic material. When an electric current passes through the coil, the piston begins to move under the influence of the magnetic field.

Piston or Diaphragm Movement: The resulting magnetic field drives the piston back and forth. This movement is often combined with a diaphragm or valve system. The movement of the piston or diaphragm draws in fluid while simultaneously pushing it out of the pump chamber. In solenoid pumps, this mechanism repeats at a fixed frequency, ensuring a continuous fluid flow. Each cycle of movement displaces a specific amount of fluid from the pump chamber.

Self-Priming Capability: Solenoid pumps are particularly known for their self-priming capabilities. Even at zero bar pressure, the pump automatically begins to draw in liquid, allowing for fluid transfer without the need for an additional primary pump. This feature allows the pumps to quickly and efficiently draw liquid into their reservoir, even during startup.

Dry Running and Safety Mechanisms: Solenoid pumps are generally designed to allow short-term dry running only during the self-priming phase. This feature allows the pump to tolerate short periods without liquid without damage. Furthermore, safety features such as integrated thermal cut-offs and diodes protect against overheating and electrical problems. These safety mechanisms ensure long-lasting and trouble-free operation.

Flow Control and Flow Rate Adjustment: Flow and flow control can be adjusted very precisely in solenoid pumps. The frequency and strength of the electric current passing through the coil directly affect the speed and force of the piston's movement. This allows the amount and pressure of the pumped liquid to be regulated according to need. Therefore, solenoid pumps can be safely used in applications requiring precise dosing.

Areas of Use:
Solenoid pumps are preferred in many industrial and commercial applications requiring low pressure and high flow rates. They can be used in a wide range of applications, from water treatment systems to chemical dosing processes. Their compact and durable design makes them ideal for installations with limited space. Furthermore, their electrical and hydraulic control mechanisms ensure user-friendliness and safety.

The Solenoid Pump offered by ORFA Industrial Products Industry and Trade Inc. is a reliable and durable solution that meets industry quality standards. It efficiently meets your fluid transfer needs in both commercial and industrial projects.
