Electrogas Solenoid Valve – VMR Type
The VMR type Electrogas Solenoid Valve, offered by ORFA Industrial Products Industry and Trade Inc. , is a fast-opening safety shut-off device that is normally closed. This valve can be safely used in atmospheric and forced-air burners, industrial furnaces, and all gas equipment using gas solenoid valves. Thanks to its 100% ED compliance for continuous service, this device is also resistant to heavy-duty cycle operations.
When the coil is de-energized, the spring mechanism closes the gas passage, pushing the disc back into place. When the coil is energized, the valve opens, allowing gas to flow. When the power is removed, the valve quickly closes, safely stopping the gas flow.
Solenoid Valve Features
Durable Construction: VMR Solenoid Valve is made of aluminum alloy casting, long lasting and durable.
Sealing Elements: Manufactured using NBR based rubber (EN 549) certified for gas use.
Wide range of applications: Suitable for air and non-aggressive gases (EN 437). Special versions without brass and with FPM seals are available for aggressive gases.
Explosion-Proof Options: Explosion-proof versions are available for use in Zones 2 and 22 according to Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX).
Inherent Safety: The solenoid valve is only open when energized; it closes quickly when de-energized, ensuring safety.
Continuous Service: Suitable for heavy duty cycle operations and qualified for continuous service with 100% ED.
Flow Rate Adjustment: Flow rate can be easily adjusted with the adjustment screw located on the top.
Integrated Filter: Fine mesh filter protects the valve seat and disc, keeping downstream components free from contamination (except VMR OTN and VMR 60).
Pressure Test Points: 1/4" pressure test points are provided on both sides of the inlet chamber, and pressure test points are also provided on the outlet chamber (except VMR OTN).
Electrical Safety: IP54 (NEMA 3) enclosure, electrical safety Class I (EN 60335-1), coil winding insulation Class H (200°C), coil thermal resistance Class F (155°C).
