Flow Switch (EFS Series)
The Flow Switch, offered by ORFA Industrial Products Industry and Trade Inc. , is a highly reliable flow-sensing device that safely and precisely controls fluid flow. Requiring vertical installation, this device continuously monitors the flow of the system in which it is installed.
By factory default, the contact is closed when flow is present and open when flow is absent. However, this can be easily reversed by the user by adjusting the position of the relay within the enclosure. This flexibility ensures optimal performance based on operating conditions.
Working Principle:
The operating principle of the EFS Series Flow Switch is quite simple and utilizes a reliable magnetic system. A paddle, fixed to the device's body, moves with the flow in the pipe. A magnet at the end of the paddle provides flow information by activating a reed relay that is not in contact with the fluid. When the flow stops, the paddle returns to its original position thanks to a reverse-polarity magnet mounted on the body. This design provides longer life and resistance to high pressures compared to spring-loaded mechanisms. The high-sensitivity reed relay ensures the device's long-lasting and reliable operation.
