LUCIFER E122K9363 Normally Open Fuel Solenoid Valve: Safe Flow Control for Burners
LUCIFER is one of Parker Hannifin 's solenoid valve series, a leader in fluid control systems worldwide. The LUCIFER E122K9363 Normally Open (NA) Fuel Solenoid Valve is a reliable, high-performance Fuel Solenoid Valve designed to control the flow of liquid fuel (fuel oil, diesel fuel, etc.) specifically for industrial and commercial burners. This Fuel Solenoid Valve operates on a unique "normally open" principle, allowing fuel to flow without electrical energy.
What is the LUCIFER E122K9363 Fuel Solenoid Valve and How Does It Work?
This Fuel Solenoid Valve consists of three main components: a body, a coil, and an internal piston/core mechanism. "Normally Open" means that when the coil is not electrically energized, the valve remains open and closes when energized, cutting off fuel flow. This feature is used for special safety or control requirements depending on the system design.
Fuel Solenoid Valve Working Principle:
Normal State (De-energized): When there is no electrical current reaching the coil, the mechanism inside the valve is in the open position. This allows fuel to pass freely through the valve.
Flow Cut-Off (When Energized): When 230V AC electrical energy is applied to the valve coil, a magnetic field is created. This magnetic field attracts the metal core inside the valve and presses the valve disc against its seat, instantly cutting off fuel flow.
Fast Response: When the coil is de-energized, the magnetic field disappears instantly and the valve returns to its open position.
This Fuel Solenoid Valve design is intended for use primarily in bypass or discharge lines, rather than as a primary fuel valve on burners. "Normally closed" valves are preferred for shutting off fuel flow when the burner is stopped, while "normally open" valves are used for specialized functions, such as keeping a line open while the burner is operating or controlling a pressure relief line.
LUCIFER E122K9363 Fuel Solenoid Valve Highlights and Advantages:
Normally Open (NO) Function: This feature, rare in standard burner applications, provides a unique solution for special control needs.
High Pressure Resistance: Despite the small connection diameter of 1/8 inch, it can withstand high pressure up to 20 bar .
Durable Construction: The body is made of brass and the internal components are made of stainless steel. Seals are generally made of fuel-resistant Viton (FKM) , ensuring long-lasting and reliable operation.
Compact Size: A small connection diameter of 1/8 inch allows for easy installation in tight spaces and applications where precise control is required.
Easy Maintenance: The modular structure of Parker/Lucifer valves allows easy replacement of the coil and other internal parts.
Wide Application Area: Suitable for fluids such as fuel, air and gas.
Fuel Solenoid Valve Usage Areas:
Industrial Burners: Special control functions in burner fuel systems (e.g. bypass or discharge lines).
Fuel Control Systems: Pressure or flow control in liquid fuel lines such as diesel, fuel-oil or diesel.
Pneumatic Systems: Special control requirements in air lines.
Other Industrial Processes: Various machines and automation lines where fast and reliable flow control is important.
