Working Principle of Flow Breaker Siphons
The primary function of flow-breaking siphons is to balance the velocity and pressure of the fluid flowing to the measuring devices. This balancing is achieved through a specific flow profile and condensation of the fluid within the siphon.
Liquid Balancing and Condensation: Flow-Breaker Siphons trap a specific amount of fluid within them. This fluid acts as a buffer for the safe operation of the measuring device. The liquid accumulates in the curved section of the siphon tube. This accumulation reduces the fluid's velocity and compensates for sudden pressure changes. Steam and high-temperature fluids, in particular, partially condense into liquids within the siphon, preventing the temperature from reaching the measuring device.
